개인정보의 보호 및 처리의 중요성을 국민에게 알리기 위하여 매년 9월 30일을 개인정보 보호의 날로 지정한다.
To inform the public about the importance of protecting and processing personal information, September 30th of each year shall be designated as Personal Information Protection Day.

국가와 지방자치단체는 개인정보 보호의 날이 포함된 주간에 개인정보 보호 문화 확산을 위한 각종 행사를 실시할 수 있다.
The State and local governments may conduct various events to spread a culture of personal information protection during the week that includes Personal Information Protection Day.
