제59조 교통안전시설의 설치 및 관리

고속도로의 관리자는 고속도로에서 일어나는 위험을 방지하고 교통의 안전과 원활한 소통을 확보하기 위하여 교통안전시설을 설치ㆍ관리하여야 한다. 이 경우 고속도로의 관리자가 교통안전시설을 설치하려면 경찰청장과 협의하여야 한다.
The administrator of an expressway shall install and manage traffic safety facilities to prevent dangers occurring on the expressway and to ensure traffic safety and smooth flow. In this case, if the administrator of the expressway intends to install traffic safety facilities, such administrator shall consult with the Commissioner of the National Police Agency.
경찰청장은 고속도로의 관리자에게 교통안전시설의 관리에 필요한 사항을 지시할 수 있다.
The Commissioner of the National Police Agency may instruct the administrator of an expressway on matters necessary for the management of traffic safety facilities.
