Article 88 (Periodic Aptitude Examination)
제88조 수시 적성검사

제1종 운전면허 또는 제2종 운전면허를 받은 사람(제96조제1항에 따른 국제운전면허증 또는 상호인정외국면허증을 받은 사람을 포함한다)이 안전운전에 장애가 되는 후천적 신체장애 등 대통령령으로 정하는 사유에 해당되는 경우에는 한국도로교통공단이 실시하는 수시(隨時) 적성검사를 받아야 한다. <개정 2021.10.19, 2024.1.30>
A person who has obtained a Class 1 or Class 2 driver's license (including a person who has obtained an international driving permit or a mutually recognized foreign license under Article 96 (1)) shall undergo a periodic aptitude examination conducted by the Korea Road Traffic Authority if they fall under the reasons prescribed by Presidential Decree, such as acquired physical disabilities that hinder safe driving. <Amended by Act No. 17507, Oct. 19, 2021; Act No. 20115, Jan. 30, 2024>
제1항에 따른 수시 적성검사의 기간ㆍ통지와 그 밖에 수시 적성검사의 실시에 필요한 사항은 대통령령으로 정한다.
The period and notice of the periodic aptitude examination under Paragraph ①, and other necessary matters for the implementation of the periodic aptitude examination, shall be prescribed by Presidential Decree.
