제18조(다문화에 대한 이해 증진) 국가 및 지방자치단체는 국민과 재한외국인이 서로의 역사ㆍ문화 및 제도를 이해하고 존중할 수 있도록 교육, 홍보, 불합리한 제도의 시정이나 그 밖에 필요한 조치를 하기 위하여 노력하여야 한다.

① The State and local governments shall endeavor to take measures such as education, public relations, correction of unreasonable systems, or other necessary measures to ensure that nationals and foreigners residing in Korea understand and respect each other's history, culture, and systems.
