제1조(목적) 이 법은 경기 변동과 산업구조 변화 등으로 사업을 계속하는 것이 불가능하거나 기업의 경영이 불안정하여, 임금등을 지급받지 못하고 퇴직한 근로자 등에게 그 지급을 보장하는 조치를 마련함으로써 근로자의 생활안정에 이바지하는 것을 목적으로 한다. <개정 2015.1.20>
