STATUTE ARTICLE 170 OF 2 (PENALTIES)

① If a person who has been ordered to complete the course pursuant to Article 174 (1) fails to comply with the instructions regarding the fulfillment of the order to complete the course by the head of the probation office or the head of the correctional facility, and after receiving a warning under the 「Act on Probation, etc.」 or the 「Act on the Execution of Sentences and the Treatment of Convicted Persons」, again fails to comply with the instructions regarding the fulfillment of the order to complete the course without justifiable grounds, the following shall apply. 1. If it is imposed concurrently with a fine, the person shall be punished by a fine not exceeding 5 million won. 2. If it is imposed concurrently with an actual sentence of imprisonment or a heavier sentence, the person shall be punished by imprisonment for not more than 1 year or a fine not exceeding 10 million won.
