①
이 법은 근로자를 사용하는 모든 사업 또는 사업장(이하 "사업"이라 한다)에 적용한다. 다만, 대통령령으로 정하는 사업에 대하여는 이 법의 전부 또는 일부를 적용하지 아니할 수 있다.
This Act shall apply to all businesses or workplaces that employ workers (hereinafter referred to as "businesses"). However, this Act, in whole or in part, may not apply to businesses prescribed by Presidential Decree.

남녀고용평등의 실현과 일ㆍ가정의 양립에 관하여 다른 법률에 특별한 규정이 있는 경우 외에는 이 법에 따른다.
Unless otherwise provided by special provisions in other laws concerning the realization of gender equality in employment and work-life balance, this Act shall apply.
