국가 및 지방자치단체는 건강에 관한 국민의 관심을 높이고 국민건강을 증진할 책임을 진다.
The State and local governments shall have the responsibility to raise public interest in health and promote public health.

모든 국민은 자신 및 가족의 건강을 증진하도록 노력하여야 하며, 타인의 건강에 해를 끼치는 행위를 하여서는 아니된다.
All citizens shall endeavor to promote their own health and that of their families, and shall not commit acts that harm the health of others.
