제66조(보호기간 중의 보호해제) 출입국관리공무원은 보호기간 만료 전이라도 보호할 필요가 없다고 인정할 때에는 청장ㆍ사무소장ㆍ출장소장 또는 보호소장의 허가를 받아 보호를 해제할 수 있다. 이 경우 용의자가 보호시설에 보호되어 있을 때에는 제65조제3항 후단을 준용한다. <개정 2018.5.8>

Translation

① An immigration official may release a person from detention before the expiration of the period of detention if it is deemed that detention is no longer necessary, with the permission of the Commissioner, the Director of the Immigration Office, the Director of the Branch Office, or the Director of the Detention Center. In this case, if the suspect is being detained in a detention facility, the latter part of Article 65(3) shall apply mutatis mutandis. <Amended by Act No. 15555, May 8, 2018>
