Article 24 (Permission to Change Status of Sojourn)

대한민국에 체류하는 외국인이 그 체류자격과 다른 체류자격에 해당하는 활동을 하려면 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 미리 법무부장관의 체류자격 변경허가를 받아야 한다. <개정 2020.6.9>
A foreigner staying in the Republic of Korea who wishes to engage in activities corresponding to a status of sojourn different from their current status of sojourn shall obtain permission to change their status of sojourn from the Minister of Justice in advance, as prescribed by Presidential Decree. <Amended by Act No. 17314, Jun. 9, 2020>
제31조제1항 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하는 사람으로서 그 신분이 변경되어 체류자격을 변경하려는 사람은 신분이 변경된 날부터 30일 이내에 법무부장관의 체류자격 변경허가를 받아야 한다.
A person falling under any of the subparagraphs of Article 31 (1) who wishes to change their status of sojourn due to a change in their status shall obtain permission to change their status of sojourn from the Minister of Justice within 30 days from the date their status changes.
제1항에 따른 체류자격 변경허가의 심사기준은 법무부령으로 정한다. <신설 2020.6.9>
