제56조의5 신체 등의 검사

출입국관리공무원은 보호시설의 안전과 질서유지를 위하여 필요하면 피보호자의 신체ㆍ의류 및 휴대품을 검사할 수 있다.
An immigration control official may inspect the body, clothing, and belongings of a person in protective custody if it is necessary for maintaining the safety and order of the protective facility.
피보호자가 여성이면 제1항에 따른 검사는 여성 출입국관리공무원이 하여야 한다. 다만, 여성 출입국관리공무원이 없는 경우에는 지방출입국ㆍ외국인관서의 장이 지명하는 여성이 할 수 있다. <개정 2014.3.18>
If the person in protective custody is a woman, the inspection pursuant to paragraph ① shall be conducted by a female immigration control official. However, if there is no female immigration control official, a woman designated by the head of the regional immigration and foreign affairs office may conduct the inspection. <Amended by Act No. 12409, Mar. 18, 2014>
