Article 25 (Health Examination)

The health examination provided for under Article 52 of the Act (hereinafter referred to as "health examination") shall be conducted at least once every two years, but for insured individuals employed in jobs other than office work, it shall be conducted once a year. Provided, however, that cancer screening shall be conducted in accordance with the Enforcement Decree of the 「Act on Cancer Prevention and Control and Other Health Services」, and for infant and child health examinations, the frequency and number of examinations may vary according to the age of the infant or child and other factors, as determined and publicly announced by the Minister of Health and Welfare.

When the Corporation conducts a health examination, it shall notify the matters concerning the conduct of the health examination according to the classifications in the following subparagraphs: 1. General health examination and cancer screening: In the case of a health examination conducted for insured individuals employed in workplaces, the notification shall be made to the employer; and in the case of a health examination conducted for dependents of insured individuals employed in workplaces and for regional insured individuals, the notification shall be made to the person receiving the examination. 2. Infant and child health examination: In the case of a health examination conducted for an infant or child who is a dependent of an insured individual employed in a workplace, the notification shall be made to that insured individual employed in a workplace; and in the case of a health examination conducted for an infant or child who is a regional insured individual, the notification shall be made to the head of the household.

The items, methods, costs, procedures for notifying the results of the health examination, and other matters necessary for conducting health examinations shall be determined and publicly announced by the Minister of Health and Welfare.
