Article 56-2 (Account for Receiving Medical Care Expenses, etc.)
제56조의2 요양비등수급계좌

공단은 이 법에 따른 보험급여로 지급되는 현금(이하 "요양비등"이라 한다)을 받는 수급자의 신청이 있는 경우에는 요양비등을 수급자 명의의 지정된 계좌(이하 "요양비등수급계좌"라 한다)로 입금하여야 한다. 다만, 정보통신장애나 그 밖에 대통령령으로 정하는 불가피한 사유로 요양비등수급계좌로 이체할 수 없을 때에는 직접 현금으로 지급하는 등 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 요양비등을 지급할 수 있다.
Where an applicant requests that cash paid as insurance benefits under this Act (hereinafter referred to as "medical care expenses, etc.") be deposited into a designated account in the name of the recipient (hereinafter referred to as the "account for receiving medical care expenses, etc."), the Corporation shall deposit the medical care expenses, etc. into such account. Provided, however, that in cases where transfer to the account for receiving medical care expenses, etc. is impossible due to information and communication failures or other unavoidable reasons prescribed by Presidential Decree, the medical care expenses, etc. may be paid in a manner prescribed by Presidential Decree, such as direct cash payment.
요양비등수급계좌가 개설된 금융기관은 요양비등수급계좌에 요양비등만이 입금되도록 하고, 이를 관리하여야 한다.
Financial institutions where an account for receiving medical care expenses, etc. has been opened shall ensure that only medical care expenses, etc. are deposited into the account and shall manage the account accordingly.
제1항 및 제2항에 따른 요양비등수급계좌의 신청 방법ㆍ절차와 관리에 필요한 사항은 대통령령으로 정한다.
Matters necessary for the application method, procedures, and management of the accounts for receiving medical care expenses, etc. pursuant to paragraphs ① and ② shall be prescribed by Presidential Decree.
