제7조의3 위원장

위원장은 보호위원회를 대표하고, 보호위원회의 회의를 주재하며, 소관 사무를 총괄한다.
The Chairperson shall represent the Protection Committee, preside over meetings of the Protection Committee, and oversee the affairs under the committee's jurisdiction.
위원장이 부득이한 사유로 직무를 수행할 수 없을 때에는 부위원장이 그 직무를 대행하고, 위원장ㆍ부위원장이 모두 부득이한 사유로 직무를 수행할 수 없을 때에는 위원회가 미리 정하는 위원이 위원장의 직무를 대행한다.
When the Chairperson is unable to perform his or her duties for unavoidable reasons, the Vice-Chairperson shall act on his or her behalf, and when both the Chairperson and the Vice-Chairperson are unable to perform their duties for unavoidable reasons, a member designated in advance by the committee shall act on behalf of the Chairperson.
위원장은 국회에 출석하여 보호위원회의 소관 사무에 관하여 의견을 진술할 수 있으며, 국회에서 요구하면 출석하여 보고하거나 답변하여야 한다.
The Chairperson may attend the National Assembly and state opinions concerning the affairs under the jurisdiction of the Protection Committee, and shall attend and report or answer when requested by the National Assembly.
위원장은 국무회의에 출석하여 발언할 수 있으며, 그 소관 사무에 관하여 국무총리에게 의안 제출을 건의할 수 있다.
The Chairperson may attend the State Council and make remarks, and may recommend the submission of agenda items to the Prime Minister concerning the affairs under his or her jurisdiction.
