Article 12-4 (Fact-finding Surveys of Protection Zones, etc.)
제12조의4 보호구역에 대한 실태조사 등

시장등은 제12조에 따른 어린이 보호구역과 제12조의2에 따른 노인 및 장애인 보호구역에서 발생한 교통사고 현황 등 교통환경에 대한 실태조사를 연 1회 이상 실시하고, 그 결과를 보호구역의 지정ㆍ해제 및 관리에 반영하여야 한다.
The mayor, etc. shall conduct fact-finding surveys on the traffic environment, such as the status of traffic accidents that occurred in the child protection zones pursuant to Article 12 and the elderly and disabled protection zones pursuant to Article 12-2, at least once a year, and reflect the results in the designation, abolition, and management of protection zones.
제1항에 따른 실태조사의 대상 및 방법 등에 필요한 사항은 교육부, 행정안전부, 보건복지부 및 국토교통부의 공동부령으로 정한다.
Matters necessary for the scope and methods of fact-finding surveys pursuant to paragraph ① shall be determined by a joint ordinance of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
시장등은 제1항에 따른 실태조사 업무의 일부를 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 「한국도로교통공단법」에 따른 한국도로교통공단(이하 "한국도로교통공단"이라 한다) 또는 교통 관련 전문기관에 위탁할 수 있다. <개정 2024.1.30>
