시ㆍ도경찰청장은 운전면허를 소지한 등록외국인이나 외국국적동포의 체류지 또는 거소를 확인하기 위하여 필요한 경우에는 경찰청장을 거쳐 법무부장관에게 해당 체류지 또는 거소 정보의 제공을 요청할 수 있다. <개정 2020.12.22>
A Provincial and Metropolitan Police Agency Chief may request the Minister of Justice, through the Commissioner General of the National Police Agency, to provide information on the place of stay or residence of registered foreigners or foreign nationals of Korean ancestry who hold a driver's license, if necessary to verify their place of stay or residence. <Amended by Act No. 17838, Dec. 22, 2020>
시ㆍ도경찰청장은 운전면허증 발급을 받으려는 등록외국인이나 외국국적동포가 본인인지를 확인하기 위하여 필요한 경우에는 경찰청장을 거쳐 법무부장관에게 해당 등록외국인이나 외국국적동포의 지문정보의 제공을 요청할 수 있다. <개정 2020.12.22>
A Provincial and Metropolitan Police Agency Chief may request the Minister of Justice, through the Commissioner General of the National Police Agency, to provide fingerprint information of registered foreigners or foreign nationals of Korean ancestry who intend to obtain a driver's license, if necessary to verify their identity. <Amended by Act No. 17838, Dec. 22, 2020>
제1항 및 제2항에 따른 정보의 사용료나 수수료는 면제한다.
The fees or charges for the information under paragraphs ① and ② shall be exempted.
