제144조 교통안전수칙과 교통안전에 관한 교육지침의 제정 등

경찰청장은 다음 각 호의 사항이 포함된 교통안전수칙을 제정하여 보급하여야 한다. <개정 2014.12.30>
1. 도로교통의 안전에 관한 법령의 규정
2. 자동차등의 취급방법, 안전운전 및 친환경 경제운전에 필요한 지식
3. 긴급자동차에 길 터주기 요령
4. 그 밖에 도로에서 일어나는 교통상의 위험과 장해를 방지ㆍ제거하여 교통의 안전과 원활한 소통을 확보하기 위하여 필요한 사항
The Commissioner of the National Police Agency shall enact and disseminate traffic safety rules that include the following matters: <Amended by Act No. 12949, Dec. 30, 2014> 1. Provisions of statutes and regulations concerning the safety of road traffic 2. Knowledge necessary for the handling of automobiles, etc., safe driving, and eco-friendly economic driving 3. Methods for yielding to emergency vehicles 4. Other matters necessary to prevent and eliminate traffic dangers and obstacles occurring on roads, thereby ensuring traffic safety and smooth flow.
경찰청장은 도로를 통행하는 사람을 대상으로 교통안전에 관한 교육을 하는 자가 효과적이고 체계적으로 교육을 할 수 있도록 하기 위하여 다음 각 호의 사항이 포함된 교통안전교육에 관한 지침을 제정하여 공표하여야 한다. <개정 2014.12.30>
1. 자동차등의 안전운전 및 친환경 경제운전에 관한 사항
2. 교통사고의 예방과 처리에 관한 사항
3. 보행자의 안전한 통행에 관한 사항
4. 어린이ㆍ장애인 및 노인의 교통사고 예방에 관한 사항
5. 긴급자동차에 길 터주기 요령에 관한 사항
6. 그 밖에 교통안전에 관한 교육을 효과적으로 하기 위하여 필요한 사항
The Commissioner of the National Police Agency shall enact and publicize guidelines on traffic safety education that include the following matters, in order for persons who provide traffic safety education to persons traveling on roads to do so effectively and systematically: <Amended by Act No. 12949, Dec. 30, 2014> 1. Matters concerning safe driving and eco-friendly economic driving of automobiles, etc. 2. Matters concerning the prevention and handling of traffic accidents. 3. Matters concerning the safe passage of pedestrians. 4. Matters concerning the prevention of traffic accidents involving children, persons with disabilities, and the elderly. 5. Matters concerning methods for yielding to emergency vehicles. 6. Other matters necessary for effective traffic safety education.
