시ㆍ도경찰청장은 도로를 횡단하는 자전거 운전자의 안전을 위하여 행정안전부령으로 정하는 기준에 따라 자전거횡단도를 설치할 수 있다. <개정 2013.3.23, 2014.11.19, 2017.7.26, 2020.12.22>
The Commissioner of a Metropolitan Police Agency may install a bicycle crosswalk in accordance with the standards prescribed by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, for the safety of bicycle riders crossing the road. <Amended by Act No. 11691, Mar. 23, 2013, Act No. 12844, Nov. 19, 2014, Act No. 14867, Jul. 26, 2017, Act No. 17774, Dec. 22, 2020>
자전거등의 운전자가 자전거등을 타고 자전거횡단도가 따로 있는 도로를 횡단할 때에는 자전거횡단도를 이용하여야 한다. <개정 2020.6.9>

차마의 운전자는 자전거등이 자전거횡단도를 통행하고 있을 때에는 자전거등의 횡단을 방해하거나 위험하게 하지 아니하도록 그 자전거횡단도 앞(정지선이 설치되어 있는 곳에서는 그 정지선을 말한다)에서 일시정지하여야 한다. <개정 2020.6.9>
