시장등은 교통을 원활하게 하기 위하여 노면전차 전용도로 또는 전용차로를 설치하려는 경우에는 「도시철도법」 제7조제1항에 따른 도시철도사업계획의 승인 전에 다음 각 호의 사항에 대하여 시ㆍ도경찰청장과 협의하여야 한다. 사업 계획을 변경하려는 경우에도 또한 같다. <개정 2020.12.22>

3. 그 밖에 노면전차 전용로의 관리에 관한 사항
A mayor, etc. who intends to install a tram-only road or lane for smooth traffic shall consult with the Provincial/Metropolitan Police Agency Chief regarding the matters listed in the following subparagraphs prior to the approval of the urban railway business plan under Article 7 (1) of the 「Urban Railway Act」. 노면전차의 운전자는 제1항에 따른 노면전차 전용도로 또는 전용차로로 통행하여야 하며, 차마의 운전자는 노면전차 전용도로 또는 전용차로를 다음 각 호의 경우를 제외하고는 통행하여서는 아니 된다.
1. 좌회전, 우회전, 횡단 또는 회전하기 위하여 궤도부지를 가로지르는 경우
2. 도로, 교통안전시설, 도로의 부속물 등의 보수를 위하여 진입이 불가피한 경우
3. 노면전차 전용차로에서 긴급자동차가 그 본래의 긴급한 용도로 운행되고 있는 경우
A tram driver shall travel on the tram-only road or lane pursuant to paragraph ①, and drivers of other vehicles shall not travel on the tram-only road or lane except in the following cases: 1. When crossing the track area for making a left turn, a right turn, crossing, or turning around. 2. When entry is unavoidable for the repair of roads, traffic safety facilities, road appurtenances, etc. 3. When an emergency vehicle is operating on the tram-only lane for its original emergency purpose.
