제55조(출석요구의 승인) 출입국관리공무원은 영 제58조에 따라 용의자 또는 참고인의 출석을 요구하고자 할 때에는 미리 청장ㆍ사무소장ㆍ출장소장 또는 보호소장의 승인을 얻어야 한다. 다만, 긴급한 사유로 인하여 승인을 얻지 아니하고 출석을 요구할 때에는 사후에 지체없이 이를 보고하여 승인을 얻어야 한다. <개정 2018.5.15>

① Immigration control officials, when requesting the attendance of a suspect or witness pursuant to Article 58 of the Enforcement Decree, shall obtain prior approval from the Commissioner, the head of the office, the head of the branch office, or the head of the detention center. However, when requesting attendance without obtaining approval due to urgent reasons, the official shall report and obtain approval without delay thereafter. <Amended on May 15, 2018>
