제55조(출석요구의 승인) 출입국관리공무원은 영 제58조에 따라 용의자 또는 참고인의 출석을 요구하고자 할 때에는 미리 청장ㆍ사무소장ㆍ출장소장 또는 보호소장의 승인을 얻어야 한다. 다만, 긴급한 사유로 인하여 승인을 얻지 아니하고 출석을 요구할 때에는 사후에 지체없이 이를 보고하여 승인을 얻어야 한다. <개정 2018.5.15>

① An immigration official who intends to summon a suspect or witness pursuant to Article 58 of the Enforcement Decree shall obtain prior approval from the Commissioner, the head of an office, the head of a branch office, or the head of a detention center. However, if a summons is issued without obtaining approval due to urgent reasons, the immigration official shall report it to the Commissioner, the head of an office, the head of a branch office, or the head of a detention center without delay after the fact and obtain approval. <Amended by May 15, 2018>
