ARTICLE 20 (CRITERIA AND METHODS FOR RECOGNITION OF A MISSING PERSON)
제20조 행방불명된 자에 대한 인정 기준 및 방법

법 제9조제5호에 따라 행방불명된 자의 증명은 특별자치도지사ㆍ시장ㆍ군수ㆍ구청장(자치구의 구청장을 말한다. 이하 같다)이 확인하는 바에 따른다.
Proof of a missing person under Article 9 (5) of the Act shall be confirmed by the governor of a special self-governing province, mayor, county governor, or head of a district (referring to the head of a district in an autonomous district. The same applies hereinafter).
제1항에 따른 행방불명기간의 기산일은 특별자치도지사ㆍ시장ㆍ군수ㆍ구청장이 확인한 날로 한다.
The starting date of the period of absence under paragraph (1) shall be the date confirmed by the governor of a special self-governing province, mayor, county governor, or head of a district.
제1항에도 불구하고 행방불명된 자의 연금보험료가 납부된 사실이 있는 경우에는 연금보험료가 납부된 기간은 행방불명된 기간에 산입하지 아니한다.
Notwithstanding paragraph (1), if there has been a payment of pension insurance premiums by a missing person, the period during which pension insurance premiums were paid shall not be included in the period of absence.
제3항에 따라 연금보험료가 납부된 자가 다시 제1항에 따라 행방불명된 것으로 확인되는 경우 행방불명된 기간은 연금보험료 납부 후 다시 행방불명된 것으로 확인된 날부터 기산한다.
If a person whose pension insurance premiums have been paid under paragraph (3) is confirmed to be missing again under paragraph (1), the period of absence shall be calculated from the date of confirmation of being missing again after the payment of pension insurance premiums.
