Article 8 (Declaration of Acquisition and Holding of Real Estate by Foreigners, etc.)
제8조 외국인등의 부동산 취득ㆍ보유 신고

외국인등이 대한민국 안의 부동산등을 취득하는 계약(제3조제1항 각 호에 따른 계약은 제외한다)을 체결하였을 때에는 계약체결일부터 60일 이내에 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 신고관청에 신고하여야 한다.
When a foreigner, etc. enters into a contract to acquire real estate, etc. within the Republic of Korea (excluding contracts falling under each subparagraph of Article 3 (1)), they shall report it to the reporting authority within 60 days from the date of entering into the contract, as prescribed by Presidential Decree.
외국인등이 상속ㆍ경매, 그 밖에 대통령령으로 정하는 계약 외의 원인으로 대한민국 안의 부동산등을 취득한 때에는 부동산등을 취득한 날부터 6개월 이내에 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 신고관청에 신고하여야 한다.
When a foreigner, etc. acquires real estate, etc. within the Republic of Korea by inheritance, auction, or other causes other than contracts prescribed by Presidential Decree, they shall report it to the reporting authority within 6 months from the date of acquisition of the real estate, etc., as prescribed by Presidential Decree.
대한민국 안의 부동산등을 가지고 있는 대한민국국민이나 대한민국의 법령에 따라 설립된 법인 또는 단체가 외국인등으로 변경된 경우 그 외국인등이 해당 부동산등을 계속보유하려는 경우에는 외국인등으로 변경된 날부터 6개월 이내에 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 신고관청에 신고하여야 한다.
In cases where a national of the Republic of Korea or a juridical person or organization established under the laws of the Republic of Korea, who holds real estate, etc. within the Republic of Korea, becomes a foreigner, etc., if the foreigner, etc. intends to continue holding the relevant real estate, etc., they shall report it to the reporting authority within 6 months from the date of becoming a foreigner, etc., as prescribed by Presidential Decree.
