Article 44 (Notification of Change in Alien Registration Matters)
제44조 외국인등록사항 변경의 신고

법 제35조에 따른 외국인등록사항의 변경신고를 하려는 사람은 외국인등록사항 변경신고서에 외국인등록증과 여권을 첨부하여 체류지 관할 청장ㆍ사무소장 또는 출장소장에게 제출하여야 한다. <개정 2018.5.8>
A person who intends to report a change in alien registration matters pursuant to Article 35 of the Act shall submit an application for change in alien registration matters, attaching his or her alien registration card and passport, to the head of the competent immigration office, branch office, or post.
체류지 관할 청장ㆍ사무소장 또는 출장소장은 제1항에 따른 변경신고를 받은 때에는 등록외국인기록표를 정리하여야 하며, 법 제35조제1호의 변경사항에 대해서는 외국인등록증을 재발급하고 외국인등록사항 변경 사실을 그 외국인이 체류하는 시ㆍ군ㆍ구 및 읍ㆍ면ㆍ동의 장에게 통보하여야 한다. <개정 2018.5.8, 2018.9.18>
When the head of the competent immigration office, branch office, or post receives a notification of change as referred to in paragraph ①, he or she shall update the alien registration record card, and for changes under subparagraph 1 of Article 35 of the Act, shall re-issue the alien registration card and notify the head of the city, county, district, or the head of the eup, myeon, or dong where the alien resides of the fact of the change in alien registration matters.
시ㆍ군ㆍ구 및 읍ㆍ면ㆍ동의 장은 제2항에 따라 외국인등록사항 변경 사실을 통보받으면 지체 없이 외국인등록표를 정리하여야 한다. <개정 2018.9.18>
Upon receiving notification of the fact of a change in alien registration matters as referred to in paragraph ②, the head of the city, county, district, or the head of the eup, myeon, or dong shall promptly update the alien registration file.
