제12조 사증의 유효기간등

단수사증의 유효기간은 발급일부터 3개월로 한다. <개정 1999.2.27, 2013.5.31>
The validity period of a single-entry visa shall be 3 months from the date of issuance. <Amended by Act No. 5748, Feb. 27, 1999, Act No. 11735, May 31, 2013>
복수사증의 유효기간은 발급일부터 다음 각 호의 기간으로 한다. <신설 1999.2.27, 2007.3.5, 2016.9.29, 2018.9.21>
1. 영 별표 1의2 중 체류자격 1. 외교(A-1)부터 3. 협정(A-3)까지에 해당하는 사람의 복수사증은 3년 이내
1의2. 영 별표 1의2 중 29. 방문취업(H-2)의 체류자격에 해당하는 사람의 복수사증은 5년 이내
2. 복수사증발급협정등에 의하여 발급된 복수사증은 협정상의 기간
3. 상호주의 기타 국가이익등을 고려하여 발급된 복수사증은 법무부장관이 따로 정하는 기간
The validity period of a multiple-entry visa shall be as follows from the date of issuance, according to the following Subparagraphs. <Newly Established by Act No. 5748, Feb. 27, 1999, Act No. 8314, Mar. 5, 2007, Act No. 14314, Sep. 29, 2016, Act No. 15821, Sep. 21, 2018> 1. Multiple-entry visas for persons falling under residence qualifications 1. Diplomatic (A-1) through 3. Working Holiday (A-3) in attached Appendix Table 1-2 of the Enforcement Decree shall be valid for up to 3 years. 1의2. Multiple-entry visas for persons falling under the residence qualification of 29. Working Holiday (H-2) in attached Appendix Table 1-2 of the Enforcement Decree shall be valid for up to 5 years. 2. Multiple-entry visas issued under an agreement, etc. on the issuance of multiple-entry visas shall be valid for the period stipulated in the agreement. 3. Multiple-entry visas issued considering reciprocity, national interests, etc. shall be valid for a period separately determined by the Minister of Justice.
사증발급신청인은 사증발급신청일 또는 사증발급에 관한 법무부장관의 승인통보를 받은 날부터 3개월이 경과한 후에 사증을 발급받고자 하는 때에는 새로이 사증발급신청을 하여야 한다. 이 경우 법무부장관의 승인을 얻어야 하는 사증발급에 있어서는 새로이 그 승인을 얻어야 한다. <개정 1999.2.27, 2013.5.31>
If a visa applicant intends to obtain a visa after 3 months have passed from the date of visa application or the date of notification of the Minister of Justice's approval for visa issuance, they shall reapply for a visa.
