Article 88-2 (Relationship between Alien Registration Certificates, etc. and Resident Registration Certificates, etc.)
제88조의2 외국인등록증 등과 주민등록증 등의 관계

법령에 규정된 각종 절차와 거래관계 등에서 주민등록증이나 주민등록등본 또는 초본이 필요하면 외국인등록증(모바일외국인등록증을 포함한다)이나 외국인등록 사실증명으로 이를 갈음한다. <개정 2023.6.13>
Where a Resident Registration Certificate, or a certified copy of resident registration or extract of resident registration is required for various procedures and transactions prescribed by laws and regulations, it may be substituted by an Alien Registration Certificate (including a mobile Alien Registration Certificate) or a Certificate of Alien Registration.
이 법에 따른 외국인등록과 체류지 변경신고는 주민등록과 전입신고를 갈음한다.
Alien registration and change of address notification under this Act shall substitute for resident registration and change of address notification.
이 법 또는 다른 법률에서 실물 외국인등록증이나 외국인등록증에 기재된 성명, 사진, 외국인등록번호 등의 확인이 필요한 경우 모바일외국인등록증의 확인으로 이를 갈음할 수 있다. <신설 2023.6.13>
Where verification of a physical Alien Registration Certificate or the name, photograph, alien registration number, etc. inscribed on an Alien Registration Certificate is required by this Act or other laws, it may be substituted by verification of a mobile Alien Registration Certificate.
