보호위원회는 기본계획을 효율적으로 수립하기 위하여 개인정보처리자, 관계 중앙행정기관의 장, 지방자치단체의 장 및 관계 기관ㆍ단체 등에 개인정보처리자의 법규 준수 현황과 개인정보 관리 실태 등에 관한 자료의 제출이나 의견의 진술 등을 요구할 수 있다. <개정 2013.3.23, 2014.11.19, 2015.7.24>
The Protection Committee may request personal information handlers, heads of relevant central administrative agencies, heads of local governments, and relevant institutions and organizations to submit data on the status of compliance with laws and regulations by personal information handlers, and the status of personal information management, or to state opinions, in order to efficiently establish the basic plan. <Amended by Act No. 11700, Mar. 23, 2013, Act No. 12844, Nov. 19, 2014, Act No. 13424, Jul. 24, 2015>
보호위원회는 개인정보 보호 정책 추진, 성과평가 등을 위하여 필요한 경우 개인정보처리자, 관계 중앙행정기관의 장, 지방자치단체의 장 및 관계 기관ㆍ단체 등을 대상으로 개인정보관리 수준 및 실태파악 등을 위한 조사를 실시할 수 있다. <신설 2015.7.24, 2017.7.26, 2020.2.4>

중앙행정기관의 장은 시행계획을 효율적으로 수립ㆍ추진하기 위하여 소관 분야의 개인정보처리자에게 제1항에 따른 자료제출 등을 요구할 수 있다. <개정 2015.7.24>
The head of a central administrative agency may request personal information handlers in the relevant field to submit data pursuant to paragraph ①, in order to efficiently establish and promote the implementation plan. <Amended by Act No. 13424, Jul. 24, 2015>
제1항부터 제3항까지에 따른 자료제출 등을 요구받은 자는 특별한 사정이 없으면 이에 따라야 한다. <개정 2015.7.24>
A person who has been requested to submit data pursuant to paragraphs ① through ③ shall comply with the request, unless there are special circumstances. <Amended by Act No. 13424, Jul. 24, 2015>
제1항부터 제3항까지에 따른 자료제출 등의 범위와 방법 등 필요한 사항은 대통령령으로 정한다. <개정 2015.7.24>
