국가는 예산의 범위에서 지방자치단체에 대하여 제12조에 따른 어린이 보호구역 및 제12조의2에 따른 노인 및 장애인 보호구역의 설치 및 관리에 필요한 비용의 전부 또는 일부를 보조할 수 있다. 다만, 어린이ㆍ노인 또는 장애인의 교통사고 발생률이 높은 보호구역에는 우선적으로 보조하여야 한다. <개정 2015.8.11, 2018.10.16>
The State may, within the scope of the budget, subsidize all or part of the expenses necessary for the establishment and management of child protection zones pursuant to Article 12 and protection zones for the elderly and disabled persons pursuant to Article 12-2 to local governments. However, priority shall be given to subsidizing protection zones with a high rate of traffic accidents involving children, the elderly, or disabled persons. <Amended by Act No. 13463, Aug. 11, 2015, Act No. 15838, Oct. 16, 2018>
