Article 164 (Payment of Penalty Surcharge)
제164조 범칙금의 납부

제163조에 따라 범칙금 납부통고서를 받은 사람은 10일 이내에 경찰청장이 지정하는 국고은행, 지점, 대리점, 우체국 또는 제주특별자치도지사가 지정하는 금융회사 등이나 그 지점에 범칙금을 내야 한다. 다만, 천재지변이나 그 밖의 부득이한 사유로 말미암아 그 기간에 범칙금을 낼 수 없는 경우에는 부득이한 사유가 없어지게 된 날부터 5일 이내에 내야 한다.
A person who has received a notice for payment of a penalty surcharge pursuant to Article 163 shall pay the penalty surcharge within 10 days to a national treasury bank, branch, agency, post office designated by the Commissioner General of the National Police Agency, or a financial company, etc. or its branch designated by the Governor of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. Provided, that if it is impossible to pay the penalty surcharge within the period due to natural disasters or other unavoidable circumstances, it shall be paid within 5 days from the date when such unavoidable circumstances cease to exist.
제1항에 따른 납부기간에 범칙금을 내지 아니한 사람은 납부기간이 끝나는 날의 다음 날부터 20일 이내에 통고받은 범칙금에 100분의 20을 더한 금액을 내야 한다.
A person who has not paid the penalty surcharge within the payment period under paragraph ① shall pay the amount obtained by adding 20 percent of the notified penalty surcharge within 20 days from the day following the expiration of the payment period.
제1항이나 제2항에 따라 범칙금을 낸 사람은 범칙행위에 대하여 다시 벌 받지 아니한다.
A person who has paid the penalty surcharge pursuant to paragraph ① or ② shall not be punished again for the offense.
