Article 69 (Notification of Road Works and Safety Measures, etc.)
제69조 도로공사의 신고 및 안전조치 등

도로관리청 또는 공사시행청의 명령에 따라 도로를 파거나 뚫는 등 공사를 하려는 사람(이하 이 조에서 "공사시행자"라 한다)은 공사시행 3일 전에 그 일시, 공사구간, 공사기간 및 시행방법, 그 밖에 필요한 사항을 관할 경찰서장에게 신고하여야 한다. 다만, 산사태나 수도관 파열 등으로 긴급히 시공할 필요가 있는 경우에는 그에 알맞은 안전조치를 하고 공사를 시작한 후에 지체 없이 신고하여야 한다.
Any person intending to carry out works such as digging or drilling a road under the order of the road management authority or the construction executing authority (hereinafter referred to as "construction executor" in this Article) shall report the time, construction section, construction period, construction method, and other necessary matters to the competent chief of police three days prior to the commencement of such works. Provided, that in cases where immediate construction is necessary due to landslides, water pipe bursts, etc., the construction may be commenced after taking appropriate safety measures and shall be reported without delay thereafter.
관할 경찰서장은 공사장 주변의 교통정체가 예상하지 못한 수준까지 현저히 증가하고, 교통의 안전과 원활한 소통에 미치는 영향이 중대하다고 판단하면 해당 도로관리청과 사전 협의하여 제1항에 따른 공사시행자에 대하여 공사시간의 제한 등 필요한 조치를 할 수 있다.
If the competent chief of police determines that traffic congestion around the construction site is increasing to an unforeseeable level and that the impact on traffic safety and smooth flow is significant, the chief may, in prior consultation with the relevant road management authority, take necessary measures such as limiting construction hours for the construction executor under paragraph ①.
공사시행자는 공사기간 중 차마의 통행을 유도하거나 지시 등을 할 필요가 있을 때에는 관할 경찰서장의 지시에 따라 교통안전시설을 설치하여야 한다.

공사시행자는 공사기간 중 공사의 규모, 주변 교통환경 등을 고려하여 필요한 경우 관할 경찰서장의 지시에 따라 안전요원 또는 안전유도 장비를 배치하여야 한다. <신설 2020.10.20>
