제98조 국제운전면허증의 발급 등

제80조에 따라 운전면허를 받은 사람이 국외에서 운전을 하기 위하여 제96조제1항제1호의 「도로교통에 관한 협약」에 따른 국제운전면허증을 발급받으려면 시ㆍ도경찰청장에게 신청하여야 한다. <개정 2020.12.22>
A person who has obtained a driver's license under Article 80, and who wishes to obtain an international driving permit under 「the Convention on Road Traffic」 referred to in Article 96 (1) 1. to drive abroad, shall apply to the Chief of the Provincial Police Agency. <Amended by Act No. 17751, Dec. 22. 2020>
제1항에 따른 국제운전면허증의 유효기간은 발급받은 날부터 1년으로 한다.
The validity period of an international driving permit under paragraph ① shall be one year from the date of issuance.
제1항에 따른 국제운전면허증은 이를 발급받은 사람의 국내운전면허의 효력이 없어지거나 취소된 때에는 그 효력을 잃는다.
An international driving permit under paragraph ① shall lose its validity when the validity of the domestic driver's license of the person who obtained it expires or is revoked.
제1항에 따른 국제운전면허증을 발급받은 사람의 국내운전면허의 효력이 정지된 때에는 그 정지기간 동안 그 효력이 정지된다.
When the validity of the domestic driver's license of a person who obtained an international driving permit under paragraph ① is suspended, its validity shall be suspended during the period of suspension.
