제8조 외국인정책위원회

외국인정책에 관한 주요 사항을 심의ㆍ조정하기 위하여 국무총리 소속으로 외국인정책위원회(이하 "위원회"라 한다)를 둔다.
To deliberate and coordinate major matters concerning foreigner policy, a Foreigner Policy Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Committee") shall be established under the Prime Minister.
위원회는 다음 각 호의 사항을 심의ㆍ조정한다.
1. 제5조에 따른 외국인정책의 기본계획의 수립에 관한 사항
2. 제6조에 따른 외국인정책의 시행계획 수립, 추진실적 및 평가결과에 관한 사항
3. 제15조에 따른 사회적응에 관한 주요 사항
4. 그 밖에 외국인정책에 관한 주요 사항
The Committee shall deliberate and coordinate the following matters: 1. Matters concerning the establishment of the basic plan for foreigner policy under Article 5. 2. Matters concerning the establishment of the implementation plan for foreigner policy under Article 6, and its performance and evaluation results. 3. Major matters concerning social adaptation under Article 15. 4. Other major matters concerning foreigner policy.
위원회는 위원장 1인을 포함한 30인 이내의 위원으로 구성하며, 위원장은 국무총리가 되고, 위원은 다음 각 호의 자가 된다.
1. 대통령령으로 정하는 중앙행정기관의 장
2. 외국인정책에 관하여 학식과 경험이 풍부한 자 중에서 위원장이 위촉하는 자
The Committee shall be composed of up to 30 members, including one Chairperson. The Chairperson shall be the Prime Minister, and the members shall be: 1. Heads of central administrative agencies as prescribed by Presidential Decree. 2. Persons with abundant knowledge and experience in foreigner policy, appointed by the Chairperson.
위원회에 상정할 안건과 위원회에서 위임한 안건을 처리하기 위하여 위원회에 외국인정책실무위원회(이하 "실무위원회"라 한다)를 둔다.
To handle agenda items to be submitted to the Committee and agenda items delegated by the Committee, a Foreigner Policy Working Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Working Committee") shall be established within the Committee.
제1항부터 제4항까지 외에 위원회 및 실무위원회의 구성과 운영에 관하여 필요한 사항은 대통령령으로 정한다.
Matters necessary for the composition and operation of the Committee and the Working Committee, other than those specified in paragraphs ① through ④, shall be prescribed by Presidential Decree.
