제7조 국민의 책무

모든 국민은 자연환경과 생활환경을 청결히 유지하고, 폐기물의 감량화(減量化)와 자원화를 위하여 노력하여야 한다.
All citizens shall endeavor to maintain a clean natural environment and living environment, and to reduce and recycle waste.
토지나 건물의 소유자ㆍ점유자 또는 관리자는 그가 소유ㆍ점유 또는 관리하고 있는 토지나 건물의 청결을 유지하도록 노력하여야 하며, 특별자치시장, 특별자치도지사, 시장ㆍ군수ㆍ구청장이 정하는 계획에 따라 대청소를 하여야 한다. <개정 2007.8.3, 2013.7.16>
Owners, possessors, or managers of land or buildings shall endeavor to maintain the cleanliness of the land or buildings they own, possess, or manage, and shall carry out a large-scale cleaning in accordance with the plan determined by the Special Mayor, Special Governor, Mayor, County Governor, or District Office Chief. <Amended by Act No. 8579, Aug. 3, 2007, Act No. 11904, Jul. 16, 2013>
