Article 4 (Responsibilities of the State and Local Governments)
제4조 국가와 지방자치단체의 책무

국가와 지방자치단체는 이 법의 목적을 실현하기 위하여 국민의 관심과 이해를 증진시키고 여성의 직업능력 개발 및 고용 촉진을 지원하여야 하며, 남녀고용평등의 실현에 방해가 되는 모든 요인을 없애기 위하여 필요한 노력을 하여야 한다.
The State and local governments shall promote the interest and understanding of the public, support the development of women's vocational abilities and the promotion of employment, and make necessary efforts to eliminate all factors hindering the realization of equal employment between men and women, in order to realize the purpose of this Act.
국가와 지방자치단체는 일ㆍ가정의 양립을 위한 근로자와 사업주의 노력을 지원하여야 하며 일ㆍ가정의 양립 지원에 필요한 재원을 조성하고 여건을 마련하기 위하여 노력하여야 한다.
The State and local governments shall support the efforts of workers and employers for work-life balance and shall endeavor to create the financial resources and conditions necessary for supporting work-life balance.
