법 제19조의4제1항의 학교의 장(이하 "학교장"이라 한다)은 같은 조 제2항에 따라 다음 각 호의 구분에 따른 날부터 15일 이내에 청장ㆍ사무소장 또는 출장소장에게 신고(정보통신망에 의한 신고를 포함한다)해야 한다. <신설 2020.12.8>

1. 법 제19조의4제2항제1호 중 매 학기 등록기한까지 등록을 하지 않아 신고를 하는 경우: 해당 등록기한의 다음 날
2. 법 제19조의4제2항제1호 중 휴학에 따라 신고를 하는 경우: 휴학일
3. 법 제19조의4제2항제2호 중 학교장이 법 제19조의4제1항에 따른 외국인유학생(이하 "외국인유학생"이라 한다)을 제적하거나 외국인유학생의 유학 또는 연수를 중단시켜 신고를 하는 경우: 외국인유학생을 제적하거나 유학 또는 연수를 중단시킨 날
4. 법 제19조의4제2항제2호 중 행방불명 등 학교장이 알지 못한 사유로 외국인유학생의 유학이나 연수가 중단되어 신고를 하는 경우: 행방불명 등이 된 사실을 알게 된 날

The head of the school prescribed in Article 19-4 (1) of the Act (hereinafter referred to as "school principal") shall report to the head of the port, office, or branch office within 15 days from the date determined according to the following categories, pursuant to Article 19-4 (2) of the Act (including reporting via the information and communication network). <Newly enacted Dec. 8, 2020> 1. When reporting due to failure to register by the registration deadline of each semester as prescribed in Article 19-4 (2) 1 of the Act: The day after the relevant registration deadline. 2. When reporting due to taking a leave of absence as prescribed in Article 19-4 (2) 1 of the Act: The date of leave of absence. 3. When reporting due to the school principal expelling an international student prescribed in Article 19-4 (1) of the Act (hereinafter referred to as "international student") or suspending their studies or training, as prescribed in Article 19-4 (2) 2 of the Act: The date of expulsion or suspension of studies or training. 4. When reporting due to the suspension of an international student's studies or training for reasons unknown to the school principal, such as disappearance, as prescribed in Article 19-4 (2) 2 of the Act: The date when the fact of disappearance or similar was known.

학교장은 다음 각 호의 업무를 수행해야 한다. <개정 2018.5.8, 2020.12.8>

1. 외국인유학생의 출결사항(出缺事項) 및 학점 이수(履修) 등 관리
2. 외국인유학생 이탈 방지를 위하여 필요한 상담
3. 청장ㆍ사무소장ㆍ출장소장에 대한 제1호 및 제2호에 따른 관리 및 상담 현황 통보(정보통신망에 의한 통보를 포함한다)

The school principal shall perform the duties prescribed in the following categories. <Amended May 8, 2018, Dec. 8, 2020> 1. Management of attendance and completion of credits, etc., for international students. 2. Counseling necessary to prevent the departure of international students. 3. Reporting the status of management and counseling according to Categories 1 and 2 to the head of the port, office, or branch office (including reporting via the information and communication network).

제2항 각 호의 업무는 법 제19조의4제1항에 따라 지정된 담당 직원이 수행할 수 있다. <개정 2020.12.8>

The duties prescribed in each category of Paragraph ② may be performed by designated staff members pursuant to Article 19-4 (1) of the Act. <Amended Dec. 8, 2020>

법무부장관은 제2항 각 호의 업무수행 절차에 관하여 필요한 세부 사항을 정할 수 있다. <개정 2020.12.8>

The Minister of Justice may prescribe detailed matters concerning the procedures for performing the duties prescribed in each category of Paragraph ②. <Amended Dec. 8, 2020>
