제24조의8 외국인유학생의 관리 등

법 제19조의4제1항의 학교의 장(이하 "학교장"이라 한다)은 같은 조 제2항에 따라 다음 각 호의 구분에 따른 날부터 15일 이내에 청장ㆍ사무소장 또는 출장소장에게 신고(정보통신망에 의한 신고를 포함한다)해야 한다. <신설 2020.12.8>
1. 법 제19조의4제2항제1호 중 매 학기 등록기한까지 등록을 하지 않아 신고를 하는 경우: 해당 등록기한의 다음 날
2. 법 제19조의4제2항제1호 중 휴학에 따라 신고를 하는 경우: 휴학일
3. 법 제19조의4제2항제2호 중 학교장이 법 제19조의4제1항에 따른 외국인유학생(이하 "외국인유학생"이라 한다)을 제적하거나 외국인유학생의 유학 또는 연수를 중단시켜 신고를 하는 경우: 외국인유학생을 제적하거나 유학 또는 연수를 중단시킨 날
4. 법 제19조의4제2항제2호 중 행방불명 등 학교장이 알지 못한 사유로 외국인유학생의 유학이나 연수가 중단되어 신고를 하는 경우: 행방불명 등이 된 사실을 알게 된 날
The head of a school under Article 19-4(1) of the Act (hereinafter referred to as "school head") shall report to the chief of immigration office, the head of an immigration office, or the head of a branch office within 15 days from the date specified in each of the following categories, according to Article 19-4(2) of the Act (including reporting via the information and communication network). <Newly established 2020.12.8> 1. In the case of reporting due to failure to register by the registration deadline for each semester under Article 19-4(2)1 of the Act: The day following the registration deadline. 2. In the case of reporting due to leave of absence under Article 19-4(2)1 of the Act: The date of leave of absence. 3. In the case of reporting due to the school head expelling an international student under Article 19-4(1) of the Act (hereinafter referred to as "international student") or suspending the study or training of an international student, under Article 19-4(2)2 of the Act: The date of expulsion of the international student or the date of suspension of study or training. 4. In the case of reporting due to the suspension of study or training of an international student for reasons unknown to the school head, such as disappearance, under Article 19-4(2)2 of the Act: The date of becoming aware of the fact of disappearance, etc.
학교장은 다음 각 호의 업무를 수행해야 한다. <개정 2018.5.8, 2020.12.8>
1. 외국인유학생의 출결사항(出缺事項) 및 학점 이수(履修) 등 관리
2. 외국인유학생 이탈 방지를 위하여 필요한 상담
3. 청장ㆍ사무소장ㆍ출장소장에 대한 제1호 및 제2호에 따른 관리 및 상담 현황 통보(정보통신망에 의한 통보를 포함한다)
The school head shall perform the duties listed in each of the following subparagraphs. <Amended 2018.5.8, 2020.12.8> 1. Management of international students, including attendance and credits obtained. 2. Counseling necessary to prevent the departure of international students. 3. Notification (including notification via the information and communication network) to the chief of immigration office, the head of an immigration office, or the head of a branch office regarding the status of management and counseling under subparagraphs 1 and 2.
제2항 각 호의 업무는 법 제19조의4제1항에 따라 지정된 담당 직원이 수행할 수 있다. <개정 2020.12.8>

법무부장관은 제2항 각 호의 업무수행 절차에 관하여 필요한 세부 사항을 정할 수 있다. <개정 2020.12.8>
The Minister of Justice may establish detailed provisions regarding the procedures for performing the duties referred to in each subparagraph of paragraph ②. <Amended 2020.12.8>
