제53조 특별연장급여

고용노동부장관은 실업의 급증 등 대통령령으로 정하는 사유가 발생한 경우에는 60일의 범위에서 수급자격자가 실업의 인정을 받은 날에 대하여 소정급여일수를 초과하여 구직급여를 연장하여 지급할 수 있다. 다만, 이직 후의 생활안정을 위한 일정 기준 이상의 소득이 있는 수급자격자 등 고용노동부령으로 정하는 수급자격자에 대하여는 그러하지 아니하다. <개정 2010.6.4>
The Minister of Employment and Labor may, when reasons such as a surge in unemployment, as prescribed by Presidential Decree, occur, extend the payment of job search benefits beyond the prescribed benefit days for the days for which the beneficiary has received unemployment recognition, within the scope of 60 days. However, this shall not apply to beneficiaries who have income exceeding a certain standard for stabilization of livelihood after leaving employment, etc., as prescribed by the Ordinance of the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
고용노동부장관은 제1항 본문에 따라 연장하여 지급하는 구직급여(이하 "특별연장급여"라 한다)를 지급하려면 기간을 정하여 실시하여야 한다. <개정 2010.6.4>
When the Minister of Employment and Labor intends to pay job search benefits extended under the main sentence of paragraph (1) (hereinafter referred to as "special extended benefits"), the payment shall be implemented for a fixed period.
