제5조 근로자 및 사업주의 책무

근로자는 상호 이해를 바탕으로 남녀가 동등하게 존중받는 직장문화를 조성하기 위하여 노력하여야 한다.
Workers shall endeavor to foster a workplace culture where men and women are equally respected, based on mutual understanding.
사업주는 해당 사업장의 남녀고용평등의 실현에 방해가 되는 관행과 제도를 개선하여 남녀근로자가 동등한 여건에서 자신의 능력을 발휘할 수 있는 근로환경을 조성하기 위하여 노력하여야 한다.
Employers shall endeavor to improve practices and systems that hinder the realization of gender equality in employment at their workplaces and to create a working environment where male and female workers can demonstrate their abilities under equal conditions.
사업주는 일ㆍ가정의 양립을 방해하는 사업장 내의 관행과 제도를 개선하고 일ㆍ가정의 양립을 지원할 수 있는 근무환경을 조성하기 위하여 노력하여야 한다.
Employers shall endeavor to improve practices and systems within the workplace that hinder the reconciliation of work and family, and to create a working environment that can support the reconciliation of work and family.
