제12조 보건교육의 실시 등

국가 및 지방자치단체는 모든 국민이 올바른 보건의료의 이용과 건강한 생활습관을 실천할 수 있도록 그 대상이 되는 개인 또는 집단의 특성ㆍ건강상태ㆍ건강의식 수준등에 따라 적절한 보건교육을 실시한다. <개정 2016.3.2>
The State and local governments shall conduct appropriate health education according to the characteristics, health status, and health consciousness level of the individuals or groups concerned, so that all citizens can properly utilize health care and practice healthy lifestyle habits. <Amended by Act No. 13974, Mar. 2, 2016>
국가 또는 지방자치단체는 국민건강증진사업관련 법인 또는 단체등이 보건교육을 실시할 경우 이에 필요한 지원을 할 수 있다. <개정 1999.2.8>

보건복지부장관, 시ㆍ도지사 및 시장ㆍ군수ㆍ구청장은 제2항의 규정에 의하여 보건교육을 실시하는 국민건강증진사업관련 법인 또는 단체 등에 대하여 보건교육의 계획 및 그 결과에 관한 자료를 요청할 수 있다. <개정 1997.12.13, 1999.2.8, 2008.2.29, 2010.1.18>
