국가와 지방자치단체는 지역사회 구성원들의 건강을 실현하도록 시민의 건강을 증진하고 도시의 물리적ㆍ사회적 환경을 지속적으로 조성ㆍ개선하는 도시(이하 "건강도시"라 한다)를 이루도록 노력하여야 한다.
The State and local governments shall endeavor to create cities that promote the health of citizens and continuously create and improve the physical and social environment of the city, thereby realizing the health of community members (hereinafter referred to as "Healthy Cities").
보건복지부장관은 지방자치단체가 건강도시를 구현할 수 있도록 건강도시지표를 작성하여 보급하여야 한다.
The Minister of Health and Welfare shall prepare and disseminate healthy city indicators to enable local governments to realize Healthy Cities.
보건복지부장관은 건강도시 조성 활성화를 위하여 지방자치단체에 행정적ㆍ재정적 지원을 할 수 있다.
The Minister of Health and Welfare may provide administrative and financial support to local governments to vitalize the creation of Healthy Cities.
그 밖에 건강도시지표의 작성 및 보급 등에 관하여 필요한 사항은 보건복지부령으로 정한다.
Matters necessary for the preparation and dissemination of healthy city indicators, etc., shall be determined by Ordinance of the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
