등록외국인의 체류지 관할 청장ㆍ사무소장 또는 출장소장은 법 제33조에 따라 외국인등록증을 발급하는 때에는 그 사실을 외국인등록증 발급대장에 적어야 한다. <개정 2018.5.8, 2022.12.27>

The head of the immigration office or branch office having jurisdiction over the place of sojourn of a registered alien shall record the fact of issuing an Alien Registration Card, in accordance with Article 33 of the Act, in the Alien Registration Card Issuance Register. <Amended by Act No. 15610, May 8, 2018; Act No. 18660, Dec. 27, 2022>

체류지 관할 청장ㆍ사무소장 또는 출장소장은 법 제33조제1항 단서에 따라 외국인등록증을 발급하지 아니한 17세 미만의 외국인에 대해서는 여권에 외국인등록번호 스티커를 붙여야 한다. <개정 2018.5.8>

The head of the immigration office or branch office having jurisdiction over the place of sojourn shall affix an alien registration number sticker to the passport of an alien under 17 years of age to whom an Alien Registration Card has not been issued, pursuant to the proviso to Article 33(1) of the Act. <Amended by Act No. 15610, May 8, 2018>

법 제33조제2항에 따라 외국인등록증 발급을 신청하려면 외국인등록증 발급신청서에 여권과 사진 1장을 첨부하여 체류지 관할 청장ㆍ사무소장 또는 출장소장에게 제출하여야 한다. <개정 2016.9.29, 2018.5.8>

To apply for the issuance of an Alien Registration Card, pursuant to Article 33(2) of the Act, one shall submit an application form for an Alien Registration Card, attached with a passport and one photograph, to the head of the immigration office or branch office having jurisdiction over the place of sojourn. <Amended by Act No. 14354, Sep. 29, 2016; Act No. 15610, May 8, 2018>

외국인등록증의 재질 및 규격, 외국인등록증에 기재할 사항과 사용할 직인 등 필요한 사항은 법무부장관이 정한다.

The Minister of Justice shall determine the material and specifications of the Alien Registration Card, the matters to be entered on the Alien Registration Card, and the seal to be used, and other necessary matters.
