Article 10-2 (General Stay Qualifications)
제10조의2 일반체류자격

제10조제1호에 따른 일반체류자격(이하 "일반체류자격"이라 한다)은 다음 각 호의 구분에 따른다.
1. 단기체류자격: 관광, 방문 등의 목적으로 대한민국에 90일 이하의 기간(사증면제협정이나 상호주의에 따라 90일을 초과하는 경우에는 그 기간) 동안 머물 수 있는 체류자격
2. 장기체류자격: 유학, 연수, 투자, 주재, 결혼 등의 목적으로 대한민국에 90일을 초과하여 법무부령으로 정하는 체류기간의 상한 범위에서 거주할 수 있는 체류자격
General stay qualifications under Article 10, subparagraph 1 (hereinafter referred to as "general stay qualifications") shall be as follows: 1. Short-term stay qualifications: Stay qualifications that permit a person to stay in the Republic of Korea for a period of 90 days or less (or for a longer period if permitted under a visa waiver agreement or reciprocity) for purposes such as tourism or visiting. 2. Long-term stay qualifications: Stay qualifications that permit a person to reside in the Republic of Korea for a period exceeding 90 days, within the upper limits of stay periods prescribed by Ordinances of the Ministry of Justice, for purposes such as studying abroad, training, investment, stationing, or marriage.
제1항에 따른 단기체류자격 및 장기체류자격의 종류, 체류자격에 해당하는 사람 또는 그 체류자격에 따른 활동범위는 체류목적, 취업활동 가능 여부 등을 고려하여 대통령령으로 정한다.
The types of short-term stay qualifications and long-term stay qualifications under paragraph ①, the persons who fall under each stay qualification, or the scope of activities permitted under each stay qualification shall be prescribed by Presidential Decree, taking into consideration the purpose of stay, whether employment is permitted, and other factors.
