법 제110조제2항 본문에서 "대통령령으로 정하는 기간"이란 사용관계가 끝난 날의 다음 날부터 기산(起算)하여 36개월이 되는 날을 넘지 아니하는 범위에서 다음 각 호의 구분에 따른 기간을 말한다.

1. 법 제110조제1항에 따라 공단에 신청한 가입자(이하 "임의계속가입자"라 한다)가 법 제9조제1항제2호에 따라 자격이 변동되기 전날까지의 기간
2. 임의계속가입자가 법 제10조제1항에 따라 그 자격을 잃기 전날까지의 기간

The "period to be determined by Presidential Decree" referred to in the main clause of Article 110 (2) of the Act shall mean the period according to the following categories, within the scope not exceeding 36 months from the day following the day the employment relationship ends. 1. The period until the day before the subscriber who applied to the Corporation under Article 110 (1) of the Act (hereinafter referred to as "voluntary continued subscriber") changes eligibility pursuant to Article 9 (1) 2. of the Act. 2. The period until the day before the voluntary continued subscriber loses eligibility pursuant to Article 10 (1) of the Act.

「의료급여법」 제3조제1항제2호에 따른 수급권자가 되어 법 제10조제1항제5호에 따라 가입자의 자격이 상실된 임의계속가입자가 법 제8조제1항제1호에 따라 가입자의 자격을 다시 취득한 경우로서 다시 취득한 날이 제1항에 따른 사용관계가 끝난 날의 다음 날부터 36개월 이내이면 공단이 정하는 기간 안에 임의계속가입의 재적용을 신청할 수 있다. 이 경우 신청자는 가입자의 자격을 다시 취득한 날부터 제1항에 따른 기간 동안 임의계속가입자로서의 자격을 유지한다.

Where a voluntary continued subscriber, who has lost eligibility as a subscriber pursuant to Article 10 (1) 5. of the Act by becoming a beneficiary under Article 3 (1) 2. of the 「Medical Aid Act」, reacquires eligibility as a subscriber pursuant to Article 8 (1) 1. of the Act, and the day of reacquisition falls within 36 months from the day following the day the employment relationship ends under paragraph ①, the voluntary continued subscriber may apply for reapplication of voluntary continued subscription within the period determined by the Corporation. In this case, the applicant shall maintain eligibility as a voluntary continued subscriber during the period under paragraph ① from the day of reacquiring eligibility as a subscriber.

제2항에서 규정한 사항 외에 임의계속가입의 재적용 신청에 필요한 신청기간, 절차, 방법 등은 공단이 정하는 바에 따른다.

Matters other than those prescribed in paragraph ②, such as the application period, procedures, and methods necessary for applying for reapplication of voluntary continued subscription, shall be determined by the Corporation.
