제6조(가입 대상) 국내에 거주하는 국민으로서 18세 이상 60세 미만인 자는 국민연금 가입 대상이 된다. 다만, 「공무원연금법」, 「군인연금법」, 「사립학교교직원 연금법」 및 「별정우체국법」을 적용받는 공무원, 군인, 교직원 및 별정우체국 직원, 그 밖에 대통령령으로 정하는 자는 제외한다. <개정 2016.5.29>
Translation
A national residing in Korea who is aged 18 or over but under 60 is subject to National Pension coverage. This shall not apply, however, to public officials, military personnel, teaching staff and employees of special post offices who are governed by the Public Officials Pension Act, the Military Pension Act, the Pension for Private School Teachers and Staff Act or the Special Post Offices Act, or to any other person prescribed by Presidential Decree. <Amended on May 29, 2016>
