Article 14-3 (Order to Choose Nationality for Dual National)
제14조의3 복수국적자에 대한 국적선택명령

법무부장관은 복수국적자로서 제12조제1항 또는 제2항에서 정한 기간 내에 국적을 선택하지 아니한 자에게 1년 내에 하나의 국적을 선택할 것을 명하여야 한다.
The Minister of Justice shall order a dual national who has failed to choose a nationality within the period prescribed in Article 12 (1) or (2) to choose one nationality within one year.
법무부장관은 복수국적자로서 제10조제2항, 제13조제1항 또는 같은 조 제2항 단서에 따라 대한민국에서 외국 국적을 행사하지 아니하겠다는 뜻을 서약한 자가 그 뜻에 현저히 반하는 행위를 한 경우에는 6개월 내에 하나의 국적을 선택할 것을 명할 수 있다.
The Minister of Justice may order a dual national who has pledged not to exercise a foreign nationality in the Republic of Korea pursuant to Article 10 (2), Article 13 (1), or the proviso to Article 13 (2), and who has acted in significant contravention of such pledge, to choose one nationality within six months.
제1항 또는 제2항에 따라 국적선택의 명령을 받은 자가 대한민국 국적을 선택하려면 외국 국적을 포기하여야 한다.
A person who has received an order to choose nationality under paragraph (1) or (2) must renounce their foreign nationality if they choose to retain the nationality of the Republic of Korea.
제1항 또는 제2항에 따라 국적선택의 명령을 받고도 이를 따르지 아니한 자는 그 기간이 지난 때에 대한민국 국적을 상실한다.
A person who has received an order to choose nationality under paragraph (1) or (2) and fails to comply therewith shall lose their nationality of the Republic of Korea upon the expiration of the period.
제1항 및 제2항에 따른 국적선택의 절차와 제2항에 따른 서약에 현저히 반하는 행위 유형은 대통령령으로 정한다.
The procedures for choosing nationality under paragraphs (1) and (2), and the types of acts in significant contravention of the pledge under paragraph (2), shall be prescribed by Presidential Decree.
